The aim of this lightning talk is to present the new EOSC Knowledge Hub (KH) as well as to highlight its added value for EOSC end-users. The EOSC KH, developed within the activities of the EOSC-Future project, aims to be the hub for EOSC related training, targeting EOSC consumers, providers, intermediaries and facilitators, and trainers. As research activities in Europe increasingly benefit from the EOSC ecosystem, this presentation is relevant for those that wish to engage with it, as they will need access to relevant training resources that suit their needs regarding the use of EOSC services, as well as in adopting best practices on Open Science and Research Data Management.

The KH provides a centralised and coordinated response to all training related needs of EOSC, consisting of a Training Catalogue and a Learning Platform, so in this presentation we intend to present the set of activities carried out for the KH development, including the Learning Management System (LMS) and Authoring Tool used to deploy the courses offered within the project activities, as well as the metadata specifications and the Training Profile Data Model used to harvest and describe training resources to be displayed in the catalogue. Regarding the catalogue, we will also briefly describe the rules of participation to onboard training resources, as well as the inclusion criteria.

The Training Catalogue, aims to be a catalogue of training resources relevant to EOSC. Is open to all relevant training resources, produced by the EOSC-Future project as well as by other relevant providers of EOSC related training, that fulfil the onboarding procedures and rules of participation for training service providers, supporting metadata harvesting of external portals and registration of training materials.

Meanwhile, for training resources metadata, the specifications were defined following the definitions detailed by the RDA Education and Training on Handling of Research Data Interest Group on the minimal metadata application profile, as well as consulting a set of Catalogues (ELIXIR TeSS, SSH Training Discovery Toolkit, DARIAH Campus, EOSC-Pillar) and FAIRsFAIR project.

The Training Profile Data Model was designed based on the metadata specifications and on the EOSC resource profile specifications, contributing to the unified framework for describing and offering EOSC Resources to end-users, guaranteeing the interoperability of resource metadata with open APIs.

Finally, in addition to the definition of the learning resources onboarding workflow, the quality assurance process was defined through the Community of Practice of OS Training Coordinators, which includes a checklist with the review and audit processes of the content and metadata.

The Learning Platform comprises a LMS, based on the open source Moodle software, and an Authoring Tool to support the course development. The main components of the LMS are an online learning environment with training courses, certification, a repository populated with openly available training resources, and a directory of trainers.

With this presentation we hope that participants get to know the added value and how they can benefit from the KH, to support all actors benefiting from the EOSC ecosystem.
